Product details

Our Milk Wash is one of our most popular products. We combine small amounts of 5 different natural cleaners as this can be gentler on skin than one concentrated cleanser. We chose natural cleansers that wash well without drying out the skin. The foaming action isn’t quite as intense as it would if we used a synthetic detergent like SLS (or other common culprits that end in –fate), but we’re happy to make this small trade-off to use more natural ingredients that are healthier for us and the environment. Ever think about what happens to your wash products after they go down the drain? Synthetic ingredients don’t break down into their natural components easily in the water system as natural ones do.

We also use a mix of natural skin conditioning ingredients. We don't use any essential oils that can also trigger reactions, but instead, a blend of Vanilla with the allergy-triggering compounds removed. Because it’s so gentle it’s also a no-tears formulation in children's eyes. If you are a car mechanic, you may need something a bit stronger, but if you wish to stay clean without stripping the skin of oils, we think this formula is the bee’s knees. Suitable for all ages, body part and skin types.

How to use

For best results:

  1. Gently apply Milk Wash to damp skin and gently massage over face and body.
  2. Rinse thoroughly. This low-irritant formula gently cleanses without stripping the skins natural oils.
  3. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer to lock in hydration and keep skin soft and comfortable.

Aqua (H₂O’s Fancy Name), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut-Derived Cleanser), Coco-Glucoside & Lauryl Glucoside & Decyl Glucoside (Glucose-Derived Cleansers), Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate (Coconut and Glucose Derived Cleanser), Glyceryl Oleate (Glycerin Based Conditioner), Glycol Distearate (Emollient), Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (Guar Gum), Glyceryl Caprylate (Emollient), Piroctone Olamine (Olamine Salt), Fragrance - Energy (Phthalate-Free), Fragrance - Vanilla (Phthalate-Free), Hydrolysed Milk Protein.

Because we make our products for our families, we have a strict ingredient philosophy that excludes ingredients like Parabens, Phenoxyethanol and penetration enhancers.

Who is this suitable for?

This gentle cleanser is designed and suitable for adults and children, including babies, with skin prone to Eczema, Dermatitis, or reoccurring dryness, irritation and redness. It's also suitable to use

Is this cleanser suitable for all skin types?

Our OG Milk Wash is specifically made for sensitive skin, so it is suitable for all skin types that experience irritation and or dryness. As always, we choose not to use ingredients like Parabens, Sulphates, SLS and synthetic preservatives, making it a great choice for those who typically experience adverse reactions to skincare products.

Are your cleansers made of milk?

We aren't called MooGoo because our cleansers are made of milk. If you think about it, putting any meaningful amount of fresh milk into a product and putting it on a shelf in a store for a while would not end well – yuck!

What ingredients do you avoid when making a cleanser?

There's lots of things you won't find in our cleansers (or any of our other products for that matter) because they were all formulated for family members and close friends, and we wanted the best for them. We steer clear of ingredients like SLS and SLES, which can be found in many commercial toothpaste, shampoos and hand soaps to floor cleaners and engine degreasers. It’s quite a harsh ingredient and doesn't play nice with skin, often causing dryness, irritation and even skin flare-ups.

We much prefer naturally derived, skin-friendly cleansers because they provide a gentle and thorough cleanse without over-stripping the skin of its natural oils. We also don't use any synthetic preservatives such as Parabens and Phenoxyethanol, although they're still pretty common, even by a few brands that claim to be natural (you know who you are!). We avoid a lot of other things too, but there’s way too many to list here. Instead, we just stick to natural and effective ingredients for healthy skin.
